In another recent post, I linked to an article about students getting put in a terrorism watch database for showing up at a protest. Now it appears you can get put in the database because a sky marshal wants a good job review.

What the Hell happened to the country that said, "Live Free or Die"?

During a discussion about the Patriot act My mother (a Neocon) asked me "Is fighting the Patriot Act worth getting killed by a terrorist?"

While I couldn't think of a decent response at the time, the answer is, Yes, our freedom is worth dying for.

Fortunately for us, we have elections. If we can just get some decent people to run, we just need a few elections.
