A missed opportunity

I parked my car this morning outside the local Starbucks and gloated for a moment or two over the news on the radio of Paul Krugman winning the Nobel economics prize. A thuggish-looking gent in a pickup truck was regarding me and the back of my car with disfavor. At first I though I had parked badly and that he couldn't get by. After a moment, he glared at me and growled out, "God damn America". It appears he did not agree with my Obama bumper stickers.

I was just too surprised to reply, "You said it, buddy, not me!". I'm not sure it would have helped if I had said it though.
