Polar bears drowning?
Dec. 16th, 2005 12:11 amThe Wall Street Journal, an excellent paper if you avoid the editorial page, has an article about the latest possible sign of global warming - polar bear drownings. Till Sept. 2004, no cases were documented. Then four dead bears were found. With the polar ice cap retreating, bears are having to swim longer distances in open water. More bears are also found stuck ashore due to lack of ice.
