Bob Woodward, of Watergate fame, is now known to be involved in the Plame case. He testified this Monday (11/14) that a senior administration official (SAO) told him about Plame and her CIA position about a month her identity was publicly revealed. The conversation was revealed by the SAO!

Woodward had previously minimized the importance of the Plame case during interviews. He had not revealed his involvement in the case till now. He's written (at least) one book about the Bush Administration and been given a great deal of access to high officials. Has he been co-opted by the administration's media managers?

There's a lot of speculation about what all this means out in blogland. Some suggest other officials are starting to turn on Libby. Others suggest it's a sneaky move by Rove to muddy the waters before Libby's trial. I haven't a clue what this means, but it's clear that Fitzgerald is still investigating something.

Here's the WaPo article:

And for speculation, you can try here:

ePluribus Media is what I'll call an open-source journalism site that spun off from Daily Kos. They've put together a timeline of events before and after hurricane Katrina.

Each item is listed by date and title. A click on the title expands the entry to show a summary paragraph. At the end of the paragraph, there's a link to the origin of the article.

This is a really useful way of organizing information of this kind. I hope they consider doing something about the Bush administration's lies leading up to the Iraq war.
