Bruce's medical fun week continued

Sorry to make all my recent posts about my medical woes, but that's about all that's happening here this week.

Yesterday evening I had fever, chills, and a temp of 100. This morning it was 101. I figured that might be due to the flu shot I got monday when visiting my primary care doc. Turns out it's pneumonia. It seems that if you do a lot of shallow breathing (like when deep breaths give you major muscle spasms) pneumonia is a possible result.

Any mad scientists out there have some field tested backbone alternatives available? I'm willing to consider invertebrate options.
