McCain's Health Care Solution?

petardierI'm having trouble believing that it wasn't Steven Colbert saying this, but the Dallas Morning News quotes one John Goodman of the National Center for Policy Analysis as providing the following solution to those lacking health insurance. The article also notes that Mr Goodman has helped craft Sen. McCain's health policy.
"So I have a solution. And it will cost not one thin dime," Mr. Goodman said. "The next president of the United States should sign an executive order requiring the Census Bureau to cease and desist from describing any American – even illegal aliens – as uninsured. Instead, the bureau should categorize people according to the likely source of payment should they need care.
"So, there you have it. Voila! Problem solved."
Brilliant! Just define away the problem. What will he do for an encore? Decide that getting sick is a personal choice and tell people not to get sick if they can't afford it?

BTW, Texas, where Mr Goodman works, has the highest percentage of uninsured residents in the US.
