It's part of the Mormon faith for members to retroactively baptize their deceased relatives (and others). There have been repeated instances over the years of dead Jews being baptized. The Mormon church always claims it will stop doing this, yet the practice continues. Someone has decided to see how the Mormons like a taste of their own medicine.

Now, if you are so inclined, you can turn dead Mormons gay.

If one is to take religion seriously (not a given), I'd say that respecting the choices other people, dead or alive, have made is a necessity. It seems to me that it's a short step from making choices for the dead for their own good to doing the same for the living. To argue that it makes no difference to the dead invites the response of "then why bother doing it?".

I'd love to see a reporter ask Mittens what he thinks about the retroactive baptism of non-Mormons.
