Corn and Ethanol
Apr. 25th, 2008 12:49 pmI've heard from several different sources lately that fully one third of the US corn crop goes to making ethanol. I've read elsewhere that corn ethanol only returns about 1.3 times the energy put into it.
I wonder if there are any gas stations our there that sell gasoline without ethanol? I'd rather not put corn in my tank. It's inefficient and using corn for fuel raises the cost of food for the poor everywhere.
