Alberto Gonzales remembers!
Feb. 20th, 2008 10:07 pmthat he was part of the Lincoln administration. Answering only pre-screened questions at events from which the press has been excluded,
"Gonzales repeatedly made references comparing himself and the Bush administration to the presidency of Abraham Lincoln, suggesting that Lincoln was highly criticized during his presidency and is now highly revered."
We should be happy really. It's miraculous that he can remember anything at all, let alone that he gets $30K for one of these seances.
Another quote from the event makes me wonder if Gonzo has been watching Ben Hur a few too many times.
"In the pursuit of great causes, mistakes will be made," said Gonzales. "During my arena serving the President my face was marred by sweat, dust and blood."
