Roadside protest signs

There's some great protest signs on this site. I especially like the "Osama Bin Forgotten" that's worked into the red, white, and blue republican elephant.

This activity is illegal near interstates because these signs are "visual distractions", but as the the freeway blogger observes
So long as my local car dealer's allowed to show commercials on a thousand square foot TV
right next to the 405, you can call my piece of cardboard a visual distraction, but I'm not
buying it. Going by those rules, the only people allowed to address commuters are those who
either rent or own billboards, which may be fine for the sake of capitalism, but it's
bad for America.

The guy's got a way with words. I agree re: visual distration being more present with commercial ads. I'd prefer to see all that kind of crap removed or more tightly controlled. Still, I'd prefer not to be the one stuck in an accident because one of his signs set off road rage or was the straw that broke the cellphone-wielding, sandwich-eating, fumbling-for-change-under-the-seat driver's last shred of concentration.
